A Renwick Village Center Neighborhood Survey was conducted in November 2009 to measure interest from surrounding neighborhoods in Southeast Bloomington as to what types of businesses residents would like to see located in the Renwick Village Center.

The survey listed thirteen types of businesses and asked respondents to rank each of them with a ranking of 1 to 4, with 1 being the most desirable to 4 being least desirable. The survey card also provided an area for respondents to suggest and write in a business they thought would be a good match for Renwick Village Center.

By a wide margin, respondents expressed a preference for a restaurant related business as the most desirable type of business they would like to see located in Renwick Village Center. When taken together as an aggregate response, coffee shop/cafe/deli/bistro/pub garnered 59% of the number 1 ranking. Also scoring well in preference were a specialty/convenience market, fitness/yoga studio, and services such as a salon/spa, dry cleaner drop off, and ATM.
